"Oh," I say as I observe her. "She seems like a good ally."
She must be too focused in her search to notice me. “Yeah, I think so. Elves are typically good people, as well.”
"When are the games going to start again," I ask Lynn. "I'm sort of ready to begin."
I glance at the sky, then the crowd. It’s starting to get tense. “I’d say about five, maybe ten minutes at most,” I inform Rai. “I’m not sure if we’ll be able to safely make any more allies…People are starting to tense up.”
I frown, pausing a few feet away from the werewolf. "Hey. Relax. I was just going to ask if you wanted an alliance. I've never seen you in the games before. I'm guessing this is your first. I'm Tempestas, by the way.
"I agree," I say, "we should probably wait until the games start or else we can just fight alonside others until the end." I add, "where are we going after it starts?" I'm was sure that we would survive.
"You've been here before?" Rafe asked the angel. He thought it was a one time thing, you survived or you didn't. An alliance seemed... shifty. "How do I know you won't take advantage of my trust and loyalty?" He asked her suspiciously. Tempestas had realized he was a first timer right off the bat, would she be the kind of person to use him for her own survival, or actually help him out of this in one piece.
I glance at him, “I’m not sure of the specifics, but we’re going to get far away from these people. The first half hour is a complete massacre,” I stare sadly at the many that will soon be dead, “Only the foolish or truly bloodthirsty stay with the crowd.” I'll have to start tracking down Mae...
"Then lets hurry," I say. But I do things my way. "MAE! Come over here with Lynn!" I shout not caring who's attention I attract. I chuckle. In my old life I would have done the same stupid things with my friends.
I’m startled by his sudden shout, but…I don’t really mind. Everyone will be too busy to notice us in a few minutes, and his action somewhat puts me at ease. Ironic, huh? Since I’m the experienced one in these games. I can’t help it though…I’ve gone too long with everyone hating me and a bounty on my head. It’s nice to be with non-hostile strangers.
When I finish I turn back to Lynn, "well, she should be able to hear me."
((Hm.. Should we put this on hold until the others get on and post, or just start the games and pretend Mae’s tagging along with us?))
I smile slightly and nod, “I’d hope so, otherwise, I’d suspect she’s either deaf or dead,” I notice a smooth rock on the ground and pick it up. This will come in handy if someone comes after us while we’re escaping. “She not either of those,” I add, conscious that semi-joking in a time like this isn’t the wisest thing ever.
((We should wait.))))
((Agreed. Alright, paused until further notice!))
"This will be my seventh time going through. I usually ally with newcomers. I've gotten a few of them through this. It's the only reason I had stayed here."
I shrug slightly, offering what I hoped was a reassuring smile.
It took me a little while before I realized Lynn had been calling me over. I abandoned my search for possible allies and went back over to where Lynn was standing with a boy. "who's this?"
I take note of the boy's sinsister looking red eyes and overall dark apperance. It might take some time to learn to trust him but I knew I shouldn't judge anybody on their appearance and besides, Lynn seemed to trust him, why shouldn't I?
Sure enough, Mae came over pretty quickly after Rai's attempt. I could sense She was a little hesitant, just as I was initially. "This is Rai," I gesture towards him,"our newest member to the alliance. It's his first year in the games."
I looked around, smelling fear and aggression on everyone standing around. The games would begin soon, and it would be great to have someone who knew what they were doing show me the ropes. "Ok." I said. "What should we do when they begin? Should we run or stay and fight?"
"It'll be a massacre. We get the he// out of here," I say, frowning at the crowd around us. "Not to mention that I would be useless out in the open without a weapon."
