Rai sat down on the chair. He leaned back on the rest and took in a deep breath. Rai closed his eyes, he was sure he wasn't in any condition to fight anymore. So he took a moment to think of what he was going to do. After a minute he opened his eyes, "I think..."
Sarah looked to him when he didn't finish his sentence. She was suprised. Hopefully he would get better soon. "You think what?" She asked curiously.
Rai continued, "I think I'm going to take a break from the street life... I want to travel around..." He looked at Sarah, "will you come with me?"
Sarah smiled at him. She never thought he would ask her to join him. "Sure. That would be nice." She told him. She stiffled a yawn. Her eyelids were starting to feel heavy, but she tried her best to remain fully awake.
Rai smiled, he tried to stand up, "let's go now."
Sarah got up and went over to Rai. She grabbed one of his arms and helped balanced him. "Perhaps it's best if you rest. I can stay gaurd while you rest. I ensure you are safe with me." She told him proudy. She sat him down next to the fire to keep him warm.
Rai wanted to protest but he realized the state he was in. The fact came to him that he could barely even walk anymore much less fight if he ever got in a fight. Reluctantly, Rai sat down. "Fine... I'll rest." He laid his head back and closed his eyes. He didn't realize how tired he was.
Sarah smiled and gently kissed his forehead before going back to her gaurding spot. She kept up her gaurd and did her best to stay awake. She stretched every so often to keep awake. She looked to the moon. "how beautiful" She whispered.
Rai slept peacefully, he dreamt he was on a plain filled with tall grass and beautiful flowers. A fresh breeze flushed through the area and Rai could feel it. As he was enjoying the breeze, he heard a cry. Rai rushed to the noise. He ran and bursted out into a clearing. He saw himself. A girl being held by a man. Rai was puzzled. He watched as it all slowly played out. Rai saw himself throw a knife towards the man.
Sarah looked over at Rai occasionally as she saw him dream peacefully. Turning back to guard, she sighed. There was a tingling feeling and warmth in her when she was with him. *Is it possible? Do I like him more than a companion?*she thought to herself.
((Yeah, but I'm mostly on youtube and stuff.))
Rai watched the knife drag it's way in slowmotion across to the man holding the girl. The girl managed to get out of harm's way but the man pulled her back. Rai saw as the blade wrench it's way into her. He looked at himself, who was standing at the other side, and saw the wide eyes. Rai jolted to a wake.
Sarah jumped up when Rai did. She quickly went over to him but tried her best not to trip. "are you ok ,Rai?" she asked. Concern filled her voice. She pushed his damp hair from his face and tried to keep her calm. She didnt realize that as she moved his hair, she was holding his hand.
"Like I said before," Rai repeated, "I'm fine."
