Lynn stopped and stared at him and his crossed arms. "Pah? But...I had only tried liking her because you didn't seem to like it when I didn't..." She said quietly. "You pointed out there was no reason to be afraid or overly dislike them..."
"Well liking her doesn't mean showing her as much affection as you do me!" Sable snapped.
He was jealous...and irritable. Lynn faught the urge to look away and instead looked at him hesiteny. "I...I didn't realize it was that bad..." She admitted quietly. "If it bothers you that much, I won't show her that much affection anymore...I'm sorry I upset you, Hun..."
Sable turned away. "You're doing nothing wrong. It's me. I'm being a jealous male over nothing. You shouldn't be guilty. You shouldn't have to apologize, and I shouldn't be acting like this."
Lynn sighed. Sable wasn't making this easy for her. She had upset him, but it was his fault, but he wasn't going to just magically be normal again. She walked over and wrapped her arms around him. "It's okay if you're a jealous male...I don't love you any less."
Sable sighed. "I'm sorry...I'm just beign dificult..." He muttered.
Lynn kissed him softly. "It's okay, hun. Just remember this when I start getting moody later in the preg.nancy."
Sable chuckled softly despite himself. He kissed her briefly and sighed deeply. "Just...try to avoid showing animals more attention than me?"
Lynn looked down. She really felt bad about that. "It won't happen again, I promise. Just...know thst it was completely unintentional."
"I know love." Sable mumbled quietly.
Lynn nodded. "Well...we should probably get going. We're already slower than everyone else...or so I've been told."
Sable nodded. He finished packing everything onto the lizards and helped Lynn onto Pah before pulling himself up on Scale.
Lynn sat contently on Pah. She didn't need the strap now, so that was nice. More comfortable. She prepared herself for another long day of traveling.
(Time to skip to their arival?)
Sable yawned tiredly as they rode into the city finally. He kept Lynn close on Pah, having shortened the rope connecting the two lizards as far as the two animals would tollerate.
Lynn looked around timidly as they entered the city. It was huge. In the face of it, she was glad that Sable had shortened the rope. She breathed out a small sigh before tensing up into her act of the little human pet. This was real now.
"Put the strap on." Sable muttered quietly to her.
Lynn quickly did as she was told. She wasn’t sure exactly why he wanted the strap on, but she wasn’t about to question. He had his reasons.
As they came into town, people started gathering to see the new champion with his prize. They were all staring at Lynn, the crowd parting to let them through. Sable rode with his head held high, a certain pride floating about him.
