Lynn shuddered a bit. “I can’t imagine they’d up and leave without at least informing me…” she said, implying the truth that she had figured all along but refused to acknowledge.
"Well, hopefully some of them escaped..." Cole said.
Lynn nodded somberly. "Yeah...hopefully..." She subconsciously quickened her pace slightly, wanting to just get back to the city. She could hide well in a city. She could clear her mind better.
"Well let's hurry on." Cole said as he started jogging.
They went on, at a pretty good speed, until reaching the city. Lynn stopped and looked up at the sewer cover above them. “This should be somewhere by the southern subway line.”
"Okay, let's check here." Cole motioned. He climbed up the sewer cover.
((Sorry-- the week from h.ell)) Lynn nodded, looking up as he went to remove the sewer cover. She stayed out from underneath him, just in case he fell or needed to get down fast or something.
Cole climbed up the ladder and peeked out the sewege cover. He looked around, "clear." Cole climbed out and moved the cover. He analyzed his surroundings, "hurry up!"
