I was on the edge. It was probably around three in the morning. I was standing upon the threshold of life and death. I knew within minutes, someone would see me. I knew they would call the police. I knew she would be there, watching, waiting. Which is why I had to act quickly. C’mon Greg, I thought to myself. Jump or Leave. I closed my eyes. I pressed the button. They would remember my story. I took a deep breath and let myself fall.
“There is no turning back.” It was the last thing they had told me before I jumped. I had no idea what I was getting into. It was the year 2079, the year of the end the world. They had made a choice: Save the people in the past and have the human race live on in an alternate universe or let it all come to extinction. Either way they were going to die. I had volunteered to do the experiment. If we were all going to die we might as well get it over with. They didn’t even know if this experiment was going to work. Which is why they accepted me, the intern with no life. They couldn't risk their precious society. Stupid ignorant polititians.
I felt queasy. Everyone was watching me.
The countdown was going slower than ever. It only increased my anxiety.
The scientists were nervous. I guess it isn't so easy to watch their creation fall 500 ft. along with their guinea pig, me.
I took a moment to glance at the world leaders. I took special notice to the President of the United States. He nodded his head in what I think was approval. I nodded along with him and looked back at the edge of the building. I couldn't see the fall from here and I didn't want to know how big it was.
2013 I thought. Take me back to 2013. I sprinted, my legs feeling like lead. It's just a small jump, c'mon it's just a small jump, no biggie. I took a deep breath as I reached the end of the building. 2013. 2013. My legs were now airborn. I was falling, fast. 2013, 2013. Press the button, I thought, my mind going through a life threatening crisis, literally. PRESS THE BUTTON! 2013,2013. I squeezed my eyes shut. I was much closer to the ground then I was a second ago. I knew if I didn't press it now, I would no longer be known as Greg, the brave intern, but Greg, the idiot who failed to press a button that could have saved man kind but FAILED. At this thought, I pressed it. And the world around me melted away...
So... anyone willign to try this with me? :D Ask for details below :P
This sounds like a really interesting story ^-^ I would like to try!
((Sure! You're in! Do you get most of it?))
Yay! ^_^ I understand that the guy has to save the humans through time travel, and that he's no one special to society. What exactly does he need to do to save the humans and how can I be a part of the RP? ^_^
RP? (still kind of new) He needs to take them to an alternate universe, because ours is deterioting.
RP= roleplay XD.... So like another planet? Or a different dimension? O.o
Oh, i see :D What do you think is best?
Well he's from the future so both seem possible. Is he going there to warn them to be prepared or just get them out of there right away? Because if he's warning them then sending them to another planet would seem right since it'll take years to develop the technology. And if he needed to save them right away another dimension would be better... Are we gonna ignore the rules of time travelling? Because the whole if you change the past you change the future thing gets me confused after a while x_x
Ya, probably just see them through there work a bit, make sure they are on their way to making it. But no one listens to him of course:P
So we're sending them to another planet! So how do you want me to be a part of it? Do you want me to be random people from the past XP or a certain role?
i was thinking of a girl in the past that he eventually falls in love with, which makes it harder to go back XD Unless you want me to be the girl... I have been playing a lot of guys recently :P
I personally don't care which gender I have to play XP If you want to be the gi
I will be the girl XD You wan to make your charrie or just go?
I just realized my last post was cut off -_-'... Okay! I'll be the guy ^_^... To be honest, skellies are useless to me XD Even though someone has a specific look for their character I always imagine the characters my own way ^_^' and it'd feel more realistic if you knew nothing about my charrie and I knew nothing about yours... So, I'd say just go right into it XD unless you want to make skellie :)
Okay, you can start with him running inot the 2013, maybe running into my character :P
((Oh wait he's running? XD I thought he was falling XP Do you want it in third person or first?))
((No, when he falls into 2013 he falls onto the girl :P third :P))
Greg covered his eyes by crossing his arms in front of him. If this trial didn't work, he didn't want to see when he would die, he just wanted to get it over with. His right hand gripped tightly around the small device, that's supposedly will save his life, if it decides to work. But it seems like he just kept on falling and falling and falling. His fear was slowly growing into anticipation; when was he going to go splat? Greg slowly removed his arms and as if on cue he saw the ground closing in on him but a girl happened to be in his path as well. "Look out!" he tried to yell but the air rushing to lungs made it sound wheezy and weak. And before he could make an attempt for another yell, he fell right on top of her.
((Is that fine? I'm bad at starting :P))
Avery was not quick to respond. All air was torn from her lungs as a large weight pressed at her side, the mix of shock and pain causing her to tumble to the floor. She gasped, her hands flying. Sprawling agains the ground in an awkward spiral, she screamed, her ankle twisting under wight.
Greg groaned as he tried to lift his body weight off the girl but the pain was making it difficult. The fall was less painful than he expected but still painful enough to sprain a wrist and dislocate a shoulder. "I'm sorry," he apologized softly, noticing people were starting to gather around to see what happened. He hoped they weren't going to call the cops because being seen on top of a girl screaming in pain can be considered se.xual assult, if they didn't know the reason why he was on top of her and why she screamed. Greg prayed he didn't break anything on this poor girl. "A-Are you o-okay?" he stammered, trying to stand up and offering her his good hand. God his social skills were horrible.
