"Perhaps we should work together." He was willing to do anything to save his world.
"I'll think on it," Xenia says, shrugging slightly. "But I'm not promising anything."
"Well then. Take some time to decide, you can find me in Bane's cave." With that Rai vanished.
Xenia shakes her head, walking back into her house not too long after. "Bane's cave. Wherever the he// that is."
Rai was in the cave. Bane's cave to be specific. He had specifically chosen this place because there was a dark history behind it. It was where an ancient battle took place against demons and angels. And finally they were able to seal away Lucifer. Rai checked the seal and it appeared to have weakened.
Xenia sits on her couch, closing her eyes and letting sleep overcome her, carefully guiding her ba - her soul - into Apophis' prison in the Duat. She'd known it was weakening, but all the dead scarabs... She was beginning to worry that he was close to escaping.
Rai waited for Xenia in Bane's cave. He passed time by carving a wooden figure.
Xenia eyes flash open after a few minutes. She quickly grabbed her dagger before walking outside. Not too long after, she found the cave, slowly stepping inside.
Rai saw Xenia outside the cave entrance and he stopped carving his wooden figure. Rai got up and welcomed Xenia, "hello. I assume that since your here that you agreed?"
"I guess so," Xenia says, shrugging slightly. "I had to check that Apophis wasn't getting out before I could come here. Set and Sekhemet are bad."
"Ah," Rai said, "that's okay. This cave holds a seal too. I just checked it and it seems to be weakening."
"Same with Apophis' prison in the Duat. The scarabs are all dying..."
"Whatever it is, we have to do something." Rai got up from his stool. "Fast."
"Do you want the world to die?" Rai raised his voice a bit, "to fall into chaos?"
"It practically has already!" Xenia snaps, glaring at him.
"Huh," Rai muttered to himself, "never noticed it. Well anyways you don't want the destruction of the world... That's what I'm getting at."
"Right," Xenia mutters, sighing. "But how do we keep it from happening?"
"Great... We're so screwed. I've got nothing, either."
