((Starting a small coffee shop))
Allison stared out the window, getting lost in her thoughts. Ancient Greece had been much prettier than the busy streets of New York City. She sipped her coffee slowly.
Ryder parked his bike outside the shop. Taking the time, once stepping off, to admire his new Harley. She was quite the beauty.
Jakob folded his arms over his chest, glaring irritably out the window of the coffee shop. He scowled deeply, sliding down in his chair. He blinked and yawned. He turned his glare at his coffee which had cooled. He gulped it down, yanking his hood over white hair and hiding his dark green eyes.
Rai entered the coffee shop and ordered a drink. He sat down and analyzed the setting. Soon he recieved his coffee and was sipping it.
Anna was sitting on the curb, her nose burried in the newspaper she had grabbed on her way out of the coffee shop. She was eating a scone and though she appeared to have no knowledge of her surroundings, her pale blue eyes were searching the window of the shop she had just come out of, waiting for the trouble to begin.
Allison's eyes scanned the other customers, looking for anyone familiar. Her eyes fell on a dark hood, hiding it's owner.
Ryder walked into the shop and ordered black coffee, no sugar.
Alyssa sat in corner of the coffee shop. She was deep into the latest book she had picked up. She sipped her ice coffee. If she was going to survive in this world, she was going to have to gain information about it first. And what better way than through reading?
((Hey Ameri, I don't see your post on the Vigils.))
Rai saw a man enter and order coffee. He saw a girl staring at a man in a hood.
Belle sighed and twirled her hair. New York CIty was just so boring! Gah! The boys here were nothing like the gods and demigods she was used to dating. Maybe it was stereotypical of her to act so spoiled, but for Zeus' sake, she was the goddess of beauty! It was be nice to see something or someone as beautiful as her.
Jakob jammed his hands in his pockets, glaring out at the world around him as he slid down even lower in his chair. His burning green eyes darted around, flickering over all the patrons. He yawned again, irritably.
((Really?! Gods! I took forever writing that... I'll post it again.))
Allison shook her head and looked back the window. There were too many buildings in this city and not enough nature... The best thing you could find for nature in New York was the squirrels and birds in Central Park. It just wasn't right.
Ryder scanned the room. He wanted to find someone to occupy his time with.
((Just wait a bit to see if it'll appear I think it might.))
Rai sipped his hot coffee and asked himself what he was going to do next. He felt really old.
Anna narrowed her eyes, she thought she recognized one of the girls in the coffee shop. The human facade was good, but yes, there was somthing about this girl that told Anna's trained eyes, she wasn't human. She was just too beautiful to be real. Aphrodite, of course. Anna snickered, never content to hide her true beauty fully is she.
Alyssa shifted uncomfortably in her chair. It was really quiet in the shop other the occasional noise from the kitchen. She glanced down at her book. Something didn't seem right.
Belle rolled her eyes. She was so bored. This place was deader than the underworld. She would know. She'd been there before. Ugh. She wished some of the nymphs were here to keep her company. Although they never shut up, they were always paying her compliments. She liked it. She popped in a headphone and played some music to fill the silence.
Jakob stayed tense, sitting still. He tried to make it look like he had fallen asleep in his seat, narrowing his eyes shut to thin slits. He kept watching the world, keeping his eyes shifting around. He stayed braced, ready for something. He didn't know what.
Anna got up, folding her newpaper, she was annoyed and bothered by the petty concerns of these mortals who worried too much about politics and debt, and somthing called Climate Change, which Anna could not figure out. So she tucked the newspaper in her pocket and walked into the coffee shop.
Allison stood up, taking her now cold coffee and throwing it in the trash can. She wished she could find someone else like Athena or Zues... Heck, she wouldn't even mind finding Aphrodite or Hades. She just wanted to not feel so alone anymore. She hugged her arms around her fram.
Ryder's landed on a thin, blond, perfect beauty. She reminded him of an old friend, Aphrodite.
Rai noticed a man doze off. He shifted and sipped some more of his coffee. He wasn't sure what was going to happen now. There seemed to be a thickness in the air and Rai had a feeling that these people, like him, weren't human.
Belle felt someone's eyes on her. She glanced up and noticed a boy. He looked like Ares...no Aphrodite. Stop it. You're imagining things. She thought to herself. She figured she was just missing home. Still, the boy was pretty good looking. A slight blush crept upon her cheeks. Not that she was actually embarassed, guys just found it cute when she blushed.
((Can I ask what god, goddess, or demigod everyone is so that we don't end up having repeats... I'm sorry if I am missing subtle clues. Thanks!))
Anna turned her attention from Aphrodite as some guy walked up to her and instead looked around the rest of the shop. The quiet atmosphere of the shop was broken as a little kid in a stroller burst into tears. Anna immediately felt her maternal nature kick in, and she had to resisit the urge to rush over to the little girl and cradle the child in her arms.
