Darcy smiles at Monica. Having been in school with most of these people for many years, she was familiar with most of them.
Mel's music was blasting through her headphones as she entered the auditorium, she took a seat, tapping her foot to the beat of the music. She dropped her bookbag on the ground beside her, waiting for everyone else to arrive so the meeting could commence.
Byron tripped through the auditorium doorway, he knew he should have tied his laces. 'Perhaps they didn't notice' he thought to himself clambering off the ground and attempting to regain his posture. He nonchalantly waved to the others seniors there, plonked his bag on the floor, and himself on a chair. Byron was slightly nervous seeing as most of the other seniors were girls, but the way he figured it was; whats the worst that could happen?
"Hey, Byron." Darcy said with a quirky smile. He was in her 10th hour class, so she'd just seen him and she knew him the best out of everyone that was there.
Byron let out a sigh of relief when he heard Darcy calling him; he liked Darcy, and always felt more comfortable when he was around her. "Hey Darcy!" he called over to her, perhaps a little too loudly. He picked up his bag and strolled over to the stage, being careful not to trip over his still untied laces. He then hopped onto the stage next to her, gesturing for high 5.
Darcy give him a highfive and then giggled, pointing at his untied shoes. "You might want to tie those before you trip." she told him kindly. She just didn't want to see him trip and embarass himself.
Mel turned off her music and placed her ipod and headphones in the pocket of her grey hoodie. She looked over at the guy and girl sitting on the edge of the stage, she remembered their faces but not their names, there was also another girl in one of the chairs.
Darcy shook her head light heartedly, still smiling. She saw a girl she didn't know, who had just put her headphones away, and waved.
Mel saw the girl on the stage wave at her, she gave her a small two finger salute in response.
"And what's your name?" Darcy asked the girl, her feet still swinging back and forth, "I don't believe we've met before."
"Mellany. Mel for short. We have not met." Mel says and gets up, walking over to the girl and holding out her hand for a hand shake.
Darcy grinned as she shook Mel's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Mel. What are you here for? Singing, dancing, acting...?" she trailed off.
Mel shoved her hands in her pockets, "Its nice to meet you as well, Darcy. I act a little, I play the piano and I sing..." she shrugs. "How about you?
"I sing, act, and dance. All the things needed for Broadway." Darcy said cheerfully. She liked meeting new people.
Monica smiled from her position in the chair. "Since we're introducing ourselves, I'm Monica. I sing, act, and songwrite a little. I want to be on Broadway someday, but I still need to work on my dancing." Monica was very open with people. She liked making new friends. Better friends than enemies.
Darcy gasped, "You want to be on Broadway? We have the same dream!"
"You guys want to have a little fun before the meeting begins?" Mel asks spotting the piano in the corner of the stage and smiling.
