I just don't understand why people are all "Eww" when they see a little bit of pale skin on themselves. I think pale skin is beautiful, much more beautiful than orange, leathery skin. I have brown hair and really pale skin. I think it looks okay.

I'm weird, my legs and face are pale but my arms are tanned, sometimes so much they're brown. My little sister has always been pale, she won't tan. I think it's fine.

I don't have super fair skin, but I definitely don't have tan skin either. AelissNovak, I'm the same way, only my arms will tan. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I agree, pale skin is pretty :)

There's nothing wrong with being pale. I think I'm the palest of all my friends, and we kind of make a contest out of who's the palest. XD

I can't tan. If I stay in the sun for a long time I will turn brown but in a week my skin will be back to normal:P The only problem with being fair skinned is burning easily.

im tan right now. but not on purpose. i think tanning and spray tans are stupid. tanning is AWFUL for you, first of all. and spray tans always look bad, and are just pointless.
the only reason im tan right now is because of crew. im out in the sun for two hours or so everyday. yes, i wear sunscreen. when its everyday, you still tan.
i think the reason liking tans started, is because you origonally got a tan from being outdoors/playing sports, and just in all doing things. so people assosiated tans with having a life. which isnt really true: some people just dont tan. It took many months for me to get somewhat tan. and this is only tan for my family. im still the palest person on the team haha

I think naturally tanned skin is fine, I just hate it when people go to tanning beds and use spray or whatever and they get almost orange.

Oh my gosh, thank you! My skin is deathly pale, and I cannot tan, just burn, I dont see the big deal with pale skin AT ALL! >:(

My little sister is pale, and today we were outside a lot gardening. She got a sunburn all over her arms and I'm fine.

I like pale skin and I often bemoan the fact that I tan easily. I find pale skin very pretty but unfortunately for me, I run track & field and cross country, so I'm always out in the sun, usually without sunscreen.

I which I had that fair skin but I tan easily and Im more of an olive tone.

Fair skin, like tanned skin or skin of any colour is all fine. It's skin. It's who we are. The 'problem' lies more in how we as a society tends to perceive one skin tone to be more beautiful over the others. Just be careful to take care of your skin by using sunblock or sunscreen, regardless of your skin tone!

I have very fair skin, very fair skin indeed. I like it very much except for the fact that next to my sister and brother, I look adopted because they have olive toned skin that tans easily.

I wish my skin was paler so that I wouldn't look yellowish. I don't tan very easily, so when I do it looks funny and my skin turns sort of yellow while it untans. And tanning is just dead and damaged skin cells, so I agree with you. And wish my skin was pale like a doll.

There's nothing wrong with pale skin!! If you tan too much, your skin will age faster. You could get wrinkles or even skin cancer. All colors are unique and beautiful in their own way.

I love fair skin on guys, but not for my self; I love being tanned. I don't understand why being pale is a negitive thing. I find it very attractive on the right guy.

I'm pale enough that I reflect sunlight. Not even kidding you. It's blinding when I go on vacation and sit on the beach. I also repel tanning of any sort. I was outside for three hours the one day doing yard work and got absolutely no color whatsoever. Which is really weird seeing as the rest of my family tans without even trying. I physically cannot tan. I reflect the sun and even a simple pat (doesn't even need to be a punch) can, and will, leave a bright red mark on my skin.

I agree with you. I think tan skin looks kind of tacky. On the other hand, I think pale skin is beautiful.
