I would like to buy a vintage typewriter, I was looking at the Royal DeLuxe Portable typewriters. But to tell the thruth, I know almost nothing about the subject and am scared that if I buy one off Ebay, I'll get ripped off or it won't work properly. What are the best models, and where can I buy ribbon (I was think Amazon?) ? What is usually the going price of for a typewriter ?

I have a typewriter. They're really cool, but for me the lack of backspace makes it more trouble than it's worth. Good ribbons are hard to find; Amazon might be a source, but often old ribbons are all dried out and useless, so be careful.

lol If you need more help, watch Disney's Tarzan. It'll show how it can also be used in musical segments.
