So, my best friend and i were passng notes in class. she was helping me with boy issues. Then the conversation took a wild turn. She said that she didnt like helping me with my boy troubles because she likes me, and she wanted to be with me. At first i thought she was playing, because we joke around like that all the time. But when we were going to lunch, she was like "Bayleigh, im forreal, i like you" and then she kissed me. I dont know what to do. I love her more than anything in the world, shes closer than a sister to me. She means everything to me, but i dont like her in the way she likes me. I dont want to hurt her.

Your situation is tough. Tell her ther words that come from the heart to let her down easy, something like what you just posted starting from "I love her more then anything" and keep going. I won't lie to you, she will be heart either way, but this will lessen that pain.

If you don't wanna hurt her tell her your not ready for a realationship with a girl yet and would like to test or try that wen your way older. If that doesnt work just tell her that youll help her find a differnt girl. Itll be like talking about boy troubles with her except in girl form.

I think that you should tell her how you feel about her, that you don't like her in that way. If you talk about it maybe she'll understand and won't feel her because you don't feel the same way about her. Hope this helped.

maybe you should try telling her that shes always been like a sister to you, that you dont share those feelings, but even if you did you couldnt risk loosing something so important to you because of a relationship that you dont even want. just be honest. becasue you do love her. if she loves you to, shell understand.

hyperwriter, Is so right, i've been in this situation before and it may be uncomfortable and uneasy, But if you really have no absolute feeling twoard her in the way she does to you, tell her she is a sister to you and you could never loose her. Basically be blunt, Try to put yourself in her shoes but as if u felt for a guy. Hope this helps:)
