I'm feeling a little lonely at the moment, sorry. I always joke that if the "forever alone" meme was a real person, it would be me. I'm still friends with all the guys who I've liked (none of them liked me back), but I just wish that I could meet a guy who liked me as much as I liked them.
Every girl has been there, and every girl knows how it feels. But so many girls don't find the strength to hold on to their standards, even if it means passing up a relationship. Being single can be lonely, but whatever you do, don't lower your standards for the sake of finding a guy. Instead, raise your standards for the sake of finding the right guy. And finding the right guy is all about patience. It sucks, but if something is meant to be, it will find you. Most guys are immature or clueless, and that's not your problem. One single friend told me, "Sometimes I'm lonely, but I've been lonelier with a lover by my side." Too true. Don't let your singleness wear you down. There are too many advantages to it. Love doesn't bind you to a guy if you don't have one to love. You're uncommitted and free to discover more about who you are. Use that time for yourself instead of wishing you had a guy. Hang in there, girl!
I wouldn't dream of lowering my standards just because I'm single. I'm feeling better now than I was when I posted this. I relized that things could be a lot worse, and if this is the only thing I'm really worrying about, things are going pretty well ^_^
