There's this guy in my school and we're really good friends and he knows that I like him but he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. Now he's telling me to give up on him because he's not worth my time. I love him but he acts like he never had anyone to care about him. What should I do?

You could still pursue if you really like him and then when he's ready he will make his move. However be warned that he could be trying to let you down easy.

I don't mean to come off as a jerk, but that may be a genuine warning of him suffering from serious psych problems. In which case the better thing to do would be to see if its true and then talk to a trustworthy adult. Once again, I don't mean to come off as a jerk. I am just going by what you have said thus far.

He's probably just playing Hard-To-Get. Maybe he just wants to know if you'll give up on him or if you'll keep trying. You should know in your heart if he's worth it or not.
