Two years ago, my father had an affair with my mom's good friend and abandoned my mother and I. It shattered our present and future, our social group, and our trust. We have coped as well as possible and have expanded in spite of it all, but I'm feeling rather disconnected to other teens in the same situation.
How are you guys feeling about these family explosions and, sometimes worse, the aftermath? Do you feel betrayed as well?
Look I never had this happen to me, but I believe it is wrong. I'm sorry you had to go through this. If you ever to nee dto talk/rant I'm usaully here on TI. I'll listen, and try to help. I pray that ya'll can get through this.

I've never had to go through this personally, but one of my good friends did and she told me that it helps to have your friends. Even if you don't talk to them about it, it's nice to know they care. Also, she grew much closer with her mother and their relationship is now very close. Remember your mother is going through the same thing and she'll need you to lean on as well. So stick together and you're right you're still standing and you're better than it all. Stay strong.
