I admire this teen's confidence to be herself and not just go with what everyone else does or what the current trend is. I see more and more adolescents feeling the pressure to fit in, be admired, or respected. It is evident in my own school from girls wearing more makeup and dressing in more revealing clothes, to guys wearing more cologne and buying name brand clothes and shoes. I feel as though young adults are choosing the wrong way to get attention. A person is remembered more when they use their talents and acts of kindness instead of relying on material things to advance their popularity status. In all reality actions speak louder than words and it's not about what's on the outside, but what's in the inside that counts.
