The article "Injections" by Katia K was both emotional and educational with a perfect mix of both. It shows the emotional aspect when the author explains why she has to take her injections and the burden they bear on her. The piece shows educational specs when it explains what the hormone injections do.
If it weren't for the fantastic hook in the first paragraph, I probably wouldn't have even read the article in the first place. Katia did a wonderful job when she talked about how a fridge can reveal so much about a person. After the first paragraph I felt like someone had reached through this month's edition of Teen Ink and pulled me into Katia's mind. The reader can see the author's feelings about needing these hormone injections every day of her life.
All in all, I think Katia did a fantastic job on her article. She worked hard and is worthy of being published. I would say she gets 10 brownies out of ten!
