As children, we don't have hardships. We didn't have to worry about school, money, relationships, or even the future. We as children in this generation had to evolve and adjust to the new technology without help (our parents and grandparents hadn't experienced it) ,and it didn't make growing up any easier. I can relate to the feeling described in “What Adults Don’t Tell Us About Growing Up.”

Delia says that “it's okay to accept pain. It's an emotion so strong it makes us wiser, brings us closer as it manifests itself in empathy, and lets us feel feel deeper.” I was always one to let me emotions get the best of me and ruin various things for me, especially sadness. Delia helped me to cope with my struggle, saying that once she accepted the idea that she would get sad sometimes and that there was nothing to be done, she dwelled on it less.
