Beauty

I quit doing math
when I found out
I couldn't quantify beauty.

I guess I can make
a feeble attempt at
qualifying it, however.

Beauty is the duality
of the things we love and hate.

The inexplicable power
of the things that make
us weak in the knees.

Those subtle profundities
that make us stop
and stare
and gasp for air.

The most beautiful of all
is the subjective eccentricity
which should not be,
yet is illuminated
by one's inner beauty.

A point of scrutiny for
all but one
confounds the speechless beholder.

Such is love.

Well written.

Nice sentiment. Not sure I agree, though.
