Favorite Quote:
In the devil's den i may be, so stab my heart and set me free.

Glancing up, I see smirking faces,
As I try to think of better places.

Lifting myself from my seat,
They think I leave in full defeat.

I clench my fist, as effective as a blade.
And all my worries just seem to fade.

My mind as clear as a cloudless sky,
Looking as if, dipped in blue dye.

No one is sure what to expect,
This girl, they whisper, ain’t got no respect.

Stepping forward, ready to push me back down,
Their faces pull into a disturbing frown.

The corners of my mouth lift into a smile,
This girl, they tease, will be running for a while.

As small as my odds may seem,
No one’s seen me on my way to redeem.

Not looking away from the challenge ahead,
I narrow my eyes, and don’t blink, instead.

Planting my feet in the ground below,
The crowd will see my worldly glow.

Lifting my chin high in defiance,
I realize now, that I’ve got no alliance.

I am in this alone,
Things set in such an urgent tone.

They never saw it coming,
My fist full with speed and cunning.

Now they see what I truly am,
As the challenger’s face, takes a forceful slam.

I walk away with a glint in my eye,
And everyone I pass will always know why.

Glancing up I see regretful faces,
As they try to think of better places.

This is my favorite personal quote.

I heart this poem! It's got a very good flow and pattern to it and I like the whole idea of it!

Five thumbs up!
