My hand shot up straight in the air waving around begging to be picked first. This was its normal motion on a Thursday in Coach Ford’s 8th grade history class. Every Friday we would have a test over what we had learned that week, and every Thursday we would play a game to review for that test. Sometimes it would be a game such as Jeporady or Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, and other times it was basketball or golf. This teaching method had a significant affect on me because, to this day, I still remember almost everything I learned in his class. Not only is Coach Ford a great teacher who definitely knows how to make learning interesting, but he also sets good examples outside of school. Being the youth minister at one of the Methodist churches in Cleburne makes me look up to him even more. Knowing that he is a christian, has good morals, and loves to serve God shows everyone how amazing of a person he actually is. His beliefs, his love of kids, his joy of helping others, and his fun personality are only a few of the reasons why he has been by favorite teacher throughout my middle school and high school years.
