For me, one of the most enjoyableshows on television is "The Simpsons." On the air for almostten years, the show finds its way into millions of Americanhomes every night of the week. The show is the basis for manyentertaining books written by the show's creator, MattGroening.

"The Simpsons" is one of the few shows thathas managed to retain its popularity over the years and winout over numerous prime-time competitors and spin-offs. Amajor reason is its overall quality. While other cartoons andsitcoms center on vulgar themes and pathetic plot-lines, "TheSimpsons" is able to shine far above the rest with itshilarious plots, well-done orchestral scores and goodmessages.

Don't simply sit back and take what you watchfor granted; carefully take in what makes "The Simpsons"special. Watch and examine the plot-lines. There never seemsto be a boring moment, as there often are in sitcoms. Also, notice the beautiful music and zany songs accompanying theSimpsons through their dysfunctional lives. Each selection isrecorded by a professional orchestra, or sung by members ofthe multi-talented Simpsons cast. Does "South Park" do that? Idon't think so.

If you have never seen "The Simpsons,"I encourage you to watch it. I highly recommend it for itsgreat humor and lack of annoying sexual and racist innuendoes. Please - give "The Simpsons" a try; it takes only a moment tobe absorbed completely into their wonderful world.

I  have always been a fan of the Simpsons, but lately their episodes don't have that spark in them anymore. I mean, there is some humor, but not all of it is even considered funny. Most episodes become predictable, dull, and just plain 'not funny'. Although I am a fan of this cartoon, I will say that their time in the limelight is slowly dropping. I like the old episodes better. They're more fun and original.

This is just my opinion, but think The simpsons overstayed it's welcome. I love the older episodes, but lately it just doesn't make me laugh anymore. I guess that's what happens after more than 20 years.

I like the simpsons and I think there really funny. I think they do a good job of coming up with different things than alot of others shows already have.

Yeah, The Simpsons are great! Considering that I own a good five or six seasons of the show on DVD, I will confess to always loving the show, but more recently, I'd have to admit the quality of the show has dipped quite a bit. More recent episodes shimmer in their animation excellence with great, vivid new colors and amazing new animations, but the actual context of the show isn't as great as it was... even some five years ago. Even still, The Simpsons remains a great show that all should watch, and enjoy!
