Childhood Obesity is growing in the United States. Childhood Obesity rates in the United States have tripled over the past three decades and an estimated 1.3 million children are overweight. This means that they are more likely to develop diabetes or serious heart problems like cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.
A study from 1999 to 2002 showed that both 16% of children and adolescents were overweight.
