They call to me, enticing
From my overflowing shelves,
Their pages softly yearning
To share their untold wealth.

And I, the greedy reader,
Gladly give in to their pleas
And thumb through all the pages
With an air of practiced ease.

And with every page I’m turning
And with every chapter read
I’m getting closer to the ending,
But it’s a start I’ve made instead.

"..though warm as summer it was fresh as spring." (Thomas Hardy) ("Far from the Madding crowd")

This is clever and rhythmic - a beautiful ballad in its simplistic intelligence.

Dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about you.

This is great, I feel this way every time I read. Keep up the good work!

"Someday soon we're gonna catch that dream we've been chasing"
"Seven days without a horse makes one weak."
"The worst part of riding is when you dismount."

Insult my clothes, I say, “Okay, thanks for the compliment.”
Insult the way I look, I say, “Thanks for notifying me.”
Mock me and say riding isn’t a sport, and I’ll say,”You say that ’cause you can’t ride.” But before you make fun of my horse, make sure you have “911″ on your speed dial.

This is great! I read one book after another and another!! Great work :)

I really like this and the extensive vocabulary used. I can relate, I am actually half reading a book and half reading teenink at the moment. xD

The truth is that at some point, everyone's going to hurt you. You just have to decide who's worth the pain.

Some say having something to lose is what makes you vulnerable. I believe that having something to lose only makes you stronger.

This is beautiful, and I can completely relate - I do the exact same all the time

Lovely :)

Bravo! You did very well at creating a rhytmic feel that avoided choppy phrases. Overall, well written!
