A healthy community

A healthy community depends on the people who serve it. People need to take part in the community because it helps to build our future. Teaching children how to take care of the environment and other people is an important life lesson. Giving back to those in need with food, clothes, and other neccessities can go along way to creating a better world. There are many ways to contribute to making the earth a safer and happier place.

Gwoing up as a child, my parents stressed the importnace of community service. They had me donate my clothes to charity, become involved in feeding the hungry through our church, and help shovel our older neighbor's driveway. It's not just neccassary to help out your community but your family and friends as well. If a friend has a flat tire or your brother needs a ride home, it's your obligation to be available. One day, when I have children, I will make sure that they lend a helping hand in the community.
