I wish I could be more like Marcie
I would respect my authority and call them ‘Sir’

I wish I could be more like Franklin
I would appreciate my heritage and not criticize others for theirs

I wish I could be more like Frieda
I would be more proud of my hair and my self, ‘naturally curly’ or not

I wish I could be more like Shermy
I would follow my gut instinct, even if it means always being a shepherd

I wish I could be more like Peppermint Patty
I would always keep what I like, even sandals in the winter

I wish I could be more like Snoopy
I would be brave, even if that means landing a fighter jet

I wish I could be more like Lucy
I would give people help and advice for a dime, even less if I felt like it

I wish I could be more like Schroeder
I would devote my life to my favorite activities because I felt like it

I wish I could be more like Pig-Pen
I would keep my memories and travels close to me

I wish I could be more like Linus
I would stay true to my friends, both people and childhood treasures

I wish I could be more like Rerun
I would never stop hoping for my dreams to come true, dog or otherwise

I wish I could be more like Charlie
I would remember that popularity is not as important as kindness

I wish I could be more like Woodstock
I would remember to talk less, sing more, whistle more, and listen more

I wish I could be more like Peggy
I would appreciate the nice guy for his kind and sweet heart

I wish I could be more like Sally
I would only fall madly in love once for the guy who is perfect for me

How many slams in an old screen door?
Depends how loud you shut it.
How many slices in a bread?
Depends how thin you cut it.
How much good inside a day?
Depends how good you live 'em.
How much love inside a friend?
Depends how much you give 'em.

This was so cute! And there was actually a morale to it also. Even though it was so repetitive, I loved it, and I love the Peanuts!

I loved the format of the whole poem! I understand how we all want to be "different" so to speak, but this was an original idea. It is very imaginative as well, and I have to give you credit for that, too. Could you please check out my poem, "Learn"?

I love the Peanuts! Great poem. The whole time I was reading I was wondering who you would decide to put last as your closer. Nice ending!

I love Peanuts... your poem focuses on the ideal.

'I wish I could be more like Lucy/ I would laugh every time Charlie fell for the football trick again'? ...Nah. :)
