Imagine going to a great college, picture walking across the stage and graduating seeing a lot of familiar smiling faces. Thinking their proud of me for what I’ve accomplished. It might not always be easy to get through all the hardships in my life but striving and working hard will lead me to success. I always wanted to be a nurse and the person that inspired me to go to college is my dad. He didn’t have a lot of opportunities growing up so he always wanted me to do my best. He didn’t want me to struggle like he did when he was growing up. He gave me a lot of motivation and strength. I learned to be more responsible, dedicated, always give my all and try not to give up. I know that in order to go to college and to have a good career I have to be strong. I’m thankful that I had someone that encouraged me to go to college because I know I would be on the wrong path.

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a nurse. I didn’t really know a lot about my career so I wasn’t sure what steps I needed to take to pursue my dream. When I first started high school I realized that it takes a lot of hard work. I knew that the first step was graduating high school. I spoke to my counselor about all the classes that I needed to take so I can graduate. I knew that if I wanted to be successful in the future I have to make good decisions. During my freshman year of high school I took all the classes that would get me on the right path. Every year was harder but I still tried my best. My grades started to improve more and more because I knew that I was getting closer to graduating. Since I didn’t know a lot about my career I asked my counselor for help. My counselor gave me a lot of information and tips that helped me understand nursing even more. She also wanted me to volunteer in a hospital for my service hours. It’s important to have someone in my life that inspires and motivates me because I know that if that person was able to become someone that they’ve always wanted to be, I could do it too.
I know that the career I picked is challenging and stressful. I know that if I want to be a nurse I have to go through a lot of obstacles. I have to keep my grades up and remain positive. If I start to give up I know that I’m going to end up on the wrong path. I have to make a lot of smart decisions and if something gets in my way I have to know how to fix it and move on. There is going to be a lot of decisions that are not going to be easy and that will hurt or help my career. I have to learn from my mistakes and think about the good things that will come in my future. The main reason why I wanted to be a nurse is because I love helping others. I want to be someone that will make a difference in the world. I also want to show people that anyone can do it and that everything is possible. It’s important to make good decisions because your choice is going to have on effect on you for the rest of your life.

In conclusion in order to be successful I have to go through a lot of hardships in my life. The best way to get on the right track would be thinking about the outcome of my decisions like graduating from college or walking across the stage. I know that it’s not going to be easy but if I keep doing what I’m doing now I will be successful one day and I will make a difference in someone’s life. I have to remain positive, determined, and strong this way I know I will become a nurse. Accomplishing my dream will make people proud, myself proud, and most importantly my father proud.
