The poem, A Pink Palace by Kendall N is one that really has a whole hidden meaning. This intriguing use of metaphoric phrases explains people who live in almost what some people would call, “Their own little world.” In one part of the poem, the author writes, “… under painted palm trees of peeling wood,” this helps me to infer that the people the author spoke about had absolutely no sense of reality.
This poem caught my attention because of the uniqueness of it and because depending on who you are, it can mean so many different things to you. Some of the ways the author used certain things could only be deciphered depending on what knowledge of your past that you have. I have to say this poem lured me in, and kept me just as interested the whole way through.
