Another tale, it's just a game
Kiss Death's cold cheek, but Death evade
My captor knows not that we
Play
I hide it well, within a maze of
Frames
What truth that I have left unmasked
A secret code yet to be
Cracked
Diversions that are cut in halves
Each story better than
The last
He realizes not that I've spun a web around
His heart and back again
It's been at least
A thousand nights
Since the night that I began
My voice has not wavered since the day on which
I wed
Each night, he pays close mind, clearly
Hypnotized
And I know I'll see the morning sun
And once more, I'll dodge
The knife
Because so long as he is occupied, I can save my life
