My Current Obsession With Hippos

All I wanted
was a hippo.
A hippo wearing a pink tutu.
Cute as a button and large as a school bus.
To ride through the streets
of Paris
chasing mimes. And that
taco truck that got lost on
its way to New York. Or
Mexico. Whatever.
I want to ride that hippo over
the rainbow so it can fly like
the blue birds.
Or ON the blue birds.
HAHA.
