Summer must had fallen once of too many times
Even on her own feet, she can't stay balanced
Her eyes look around to see the shining earth around her
Her eyes glitter... like gold

Her eyes fill with wonder, like a child’s first time at a candy store
A sunset, the color of fire burning on a windless night
Gently going down and then vanishing into the sky
Her eyes shine gold as she watches it go down

Summer’s eyes now catch something new

The big, blue, bad ocean with its roaring waves
“CRASH” the waves go as they crash on the shore like thunder.
Summer has now, moved on...

Summer’s eyes danced in amazement
She turned onto her back and looked up at the night sky.
Stars shine like fireworks exploding in a clear dark sky
Summer’s eyes now wonder the beauty of the shining lights in the sky

Summer eyes have seen enough and know grow tired
She now stands up on her own two unbalanced feet
She takes one more look of the gold she sees in her eyes
Then, she is off again
But this time
To fall off her feet twice of every time
And hopefully, see the gold in her eyes, one other time

I was walking one day on the beach. And when I fell down on the sand, I was facing the ocean. Inspiring me to write this poem
