"We all know life can get hectic, but if you live in the seconds- you exsist in the present and that's how you stay connected." -Macklemore

She sat in front of a large window
watching as the cold night grew darker
It'd been two months ago when she became a widow
She'd spent everyday since at his stone marker.

The light in her, once so bright, had been taken away.
He had brought it with him when he had gone
and they buried it six feet deep on that autumn day.
The day in black when she was told to hang on.

She stood from her seat and moved to the door
wrapped herself up in a scarf and a cloak
She walked in the snow, weeping some more.
Flakes covered the crave next to the old oak.

She sat next to her love, who had since been parted
and cried for herself, and all the broken hearted.

I wrote this sonnet for a Creative Writing assignment. The structure was sometimes difficult to achieve, but I enjoyed my end result.
