The Scent of Green

Green smells of uplifting hope
on drowsy mornings.
Green is the healing and cleansing scent
of rainy days.
Freshly cut grass,
spring water, and spring breezes,
mountain summits,
all hold the perfume of green.
The aroma of the kiss
of dew in the grass and sunshine
is the gentlest of all greens.
Soft, promising, and natural.
Green smells of encompassing love,
and careful tenderness,
the scent of a mother, of nature,
of hope.
