Number of stars (1 to 5): 4

Introduction
This book is truly a very good one. It is one of the kinds you get stuck to and can’t finish in the middle. I am more than likely going to read it again because it was so good. This book might have you sitting to yourself wonder what has been happening. Be prepared to think through stuff, it might make you confused but you just have to concept it in your own way.
Description and summary of main points
The Giver is about a boy named Jonas. He has his journey in his life with no color. He gets to celebrate his ceremony for twelves and gets to see what his job is for the rest of his life. He then gets the best, but the most worthy job of all. He struggles a lot and at the end he leaves this world and takes someone with him.
Conclusion
Over all this book would be great for kids and adults too. Some younger ages might not understand how to read it. It takes some thought to read and everyone concepts it differently. I personally think that is what makes it so interesting. Some parts you have to decide in your mind what has happened to him. I would really recommend this book if you’re looking into reading it. It is definitely worth your time. I read this book with my class and I looked forward to the class everyday just to see what happens.
