Reading Sushmita Mittal’s article, “A Germaphobe’s Quest,” I found that I could relate to their sentiments towards trash and pollution. Although I am not a germaphobe, I still view trash and pollution as a problem not only for me, but for the environment as well. I’m glad that visiting India has inspired Sushmita to take gradual steps in cleaning up the trash problem. Like they said in the article, picking up trash in one spot might not have a huge effect on the overall problem, however, it does affect the the environment of the community. Thank you, Sushmita, and I hope that your article inspires others to help tidy up their communities and neighborhoods.
