A sonnet is a jumbled mess of boring
All wrapped up with a pink bow to look nice,
Comic relief is sure enough the thing
That makes the sonnet worth looking at twice,
They say iambic pentameter is,
But who is they of which we speak about?
They who fill works with fancy words like “tis”,
Which no one uses but Shakespeare, no doubt,
Yes, funny sonnets are by far the best,
Although to do it one must be witty,
But there’s one more component to the test,
The teacher must like creativity,
So when you need to write sonnets for school,
Remember to include the humor rule.

I'm just doing this for the extra credit... I hate poetry.
