One thing I have unfortunately experienced all throughout high school is teachers not dividing their attention evenly throughout the entire class. If your not a genius or the class clown then you are left in the dust. I feel extremely passionate about this topic mainly because I feel as though I would have done better academically if I received the attention other students did. I am hoping for reform in the future in any meaning of the word. therefore allowing success for every student. so many of my peers including myself struggle tremendously, and first hand i have seen teachers giving up on students. This to me is the biggest mistake a teacher can make. Teachers need to come to the realization of how much influence they have on their students. Every student should be looked at in the same light and given the same opportunities. When a teacher gives a student the time of day and lets them know they are interested in their success it changes lives.
