Kaila P., Catonsville, MD By obsidiancanopy, Catonsville, MD

When I first saw you
you blew through me
with age-old winds

they smelled of
wine-stained dinners and
cherry blossoms

they colored winter air
bright silver hues;
you bottled it up
and painted me a
mountaintop

I drowned in your eyes,
sea green glowing under tiny
moons;
I washed up on your
cheeks and
I'm still dusting freckles
off my skin

since then
I've inhaled your
breeze as you breathe
into me and reflect off
sweat trickling from
my breast,

and all I want to
taste is
sea salt.
