Here it is my senior year my last year of school. I thought this year would never get here and now that it is here I am, full of mixed emotions. I am happy, glad, excited, scared, sad, and full of wonder. All of the sudden I realize I needs to be thinking about what am I going be when I grow up? The day has come when I can no longer wait to answer these questions. I need to figure them out now or very soon. School has not been one of my most favorite things to do. Having disliked school so much, I do not really plan on going to college, my passion is welding. I also like working with my dad, who is a very good mechanic and can teach me a lot. This past year I have also found that I really enjoy working with baby calves, bottle feeding them and helping during calving season. I helped my girlfriend’s parents, had a lot of fun, and want to start my own herd of cattle. Since this is my senior year. I’m on the AOE program and work for a farmer, which I enjoy a lot and I have learned several things. My girlfriend lives on a farm and we both enjoy many of the same things. I really enjoy being with her and doing things with her. She has one more year of school after this year, this makes me sad, since I like being with her. Since this is our last year, my girlfriend and me will have a lot of fun and make the best of it. We have been looking at things for prom and going to school events. Some how I will get all this stuff figured out.

I have not been very fond of school; I don’t like having to get up early in the mornings and to follow a set schedule. I do remember that my girlfriend and I were in head start together. She thought I was a crazy little boy and I thought she was a spoiled brat. At the time, they never thought that later in life they would be best friends and be dating each other much less discussing the future. I want to do something close to home, maybe work in the shop with his dad or work on the farm. My girlfriend is going to college to become a nurse, when she gets out of school of course. We want to be close and work together with the same goals. Everything is scary, exciting and full of wonder for the years ahead. Ever since I can remember, I enjoyed deer hunting and doing odd jobs to save money for my first bow then later a gun. I would take a day off or two to go hunting with my dad. I am sitting in the deer stand freezing my but with a smile on my face because my girlfriend was with me looking for that big ten point that we saw. She grew up hunting but doesn’t enjoy it as much as she use to because there are too many people and not enough land! This past year I shot a buck, I was so proud of it I put my tag on it and went to get my truck to load it up. When I got back my buck was gone, I was shocked that my buck just got up and walked away with my tag on his antlers. Can you imagine the surprise someone will get if they shoot this buck and it already has a tag on it? It probably won’t match the surprise I had when it was gone. From now on, I will make sure the deer is good and dead. During bow season, it is much harder to hunt deer because you have to get much closer to your target and it is vary hard for me to sit still that long and wait for a deer to get close to me.

I am working on the AOE program this year for a farmer; I am learning how to do several things on the farm. One thing I have been doing is saving money to buy some baby calves to bottle feed. I would like to get around ten calves and raise them so I can slowly have my own heard. I plan to get some red Angus and Black Angus calves. I have a puppy named Champ with my girlfriend. We plan to train her how to work with our calves. This will be lot of hard work but it will pay off in the end. When I get out of school in May, my girlfriend and I plan to go on vacation to Branson, Missouri. We both enjoy boating, fishing, riding wave runners, messing around and just having fun. Last summer my girlfriend and I and her family went to The Lake of the Ozarks and had a lot of fun on the lake and at the strip mall. Then it will be back to work at home on the farm. I have been staying at my girlfriend’s house, which has made my parents, upset. Lately my sister moved back in and took over my room, which made me very upset. I am not very good with showing my feelings so I bottled it up. They moved me to the built on room of the house it’s very cold and doesn’t have much room. Everybody is mad at my parents for moving me out of the house. As of right now, my plans are to graduate in May as soon as I can and then move in officially with my girlfriend until she gets out of school. When she graduates, we plan to move out, she will go to college and I will work probably for a farmer. Eventually we plan to get married and have two children. We have talked a lot about our future and I think we will be great.
