Does reality television cause more harm than good? Honestly in my opinion it does. The reason I think that way is because if you notice our generation today, our generation is easily influenced. Nowadays in our society young girls feel as though they can do and say whatever they want when they want to. Why? Because they’re watching all of these celebrities do it and so they think they can too. Some of the main TV shows that i think are causing this are Basketball wives, Love & Hip Hop, and many more. One show that has the main effect on girls is the Bad Girls Club. On this show they do a lot of inappropriate things, and the women doing it are influencing others. Sooner or later the people watching it start to look at them as their leader and start to follow their footsteps.

Why does the entertainment industry still sponsor and support these shows? One of the reasons they still do this is because they're HIGHLY popular and very entertaining to their audience .The people watching these shows find in cool and interesting. They like seeing people fight and argue over irrelevant things. They also like watching these adults do things that are not smart and that lead to bad outcomes.

Love and Hip and basketball wives serve no purpose. often times the main thing that’s presented in basketball wives and Love & Hip Hop is a lot of fighting and bullying. The bullying consists of grown women picking and choosing who they want in their “circle.” By this if the popular girl doesn't like someone nobody likes her.

Does the show 16 & Pregnant show teens that it’s ok to get pregnant at such a young age? 16 & Pregnant is a show about teenagers going into the lives of young mothers as they endure the emotional and financial struggles of the first years of motherhood. When the show first started the teens got automatic attention through magazines and many more. This made them go worldwide. Although MTV thinks they are discouraging this it’s doing the total opposite. Now that these teens are watching this show they feel that they were just given something like a pass to fame. The way they get this Fame is by getting pregnant at the age of 16. Not only on this show do you get featured in magazines but you are also getting money, getting endorsement deals, and becoming calendar models.

The purpose of the bad girls club was for young women to come to better themselves, yet they're defeating the purpose because they're doing inappropriate things. Some reasons that I think these girls keep doing what they are doing is because they want it all for the fame. They want people to label them as the Baddest Bad Girl of wherever they come from. The main viewers of this show, which are young adults are not only encouraging this behavior, but acting it out in their own ways.
