Here I am in Vancouver, the third biggest city in Canada, a peaceful and lovely place. I think as a city, it looks more like countryside, for its beautiful nature.

On a morning in early July, the melodious songs of the birds, and the sound of the leaves moving in the breeze wake me up. Sunlight seeks into my room, and makes me feel warm and comfortable. It’s already summer time, but the temperature is still about 25°C; not very cold and not very hot, it’s the best time of a year. I put on my jacket, go outside, take a deep breath of the sweet fresh air and hum my favorite song along with my phone. I walk around in the neighborhood. There are different kinds of plants in front of the houses, such as cherry trees, cherry blossoms and pine trees. Sometimes you can even see squirrels walking across the road; when they notice you, they may stare at you with their big bright eyes. It seems they are saying ‘ Are you going to give me some snacks?’

After walking around in the neighborhood, I go back to our garden. The cherry trees are covered with red ripe cherries. Some birds are standing on the branches and enjoying the fruit. I take down some cherries, wipe them lightly with my clothes and eat it; the cherries are juicy and sweet, as I have a bite on them, the red juice are bouncing on my tongue. The fruit breakfast makes me feel more energetic. Everything here is lively.

At noon, the temperature becomes higher and the sunlight is stronger; it’s a bit hot, and for now the best place to go is Lynn Canyon Park, which is in North Vancouver. Walking into the park, the cool breeze flow into my clothes and shade of trees take me away from the hotness of the strong sunlight. There is a 50 meters high suspension bridge. My heart beat much faster as I step on the bridge. Some of my friends are so brave that they even run on the bridge. The bridge bounces up and down, and my body is moving along with the bridge, I feel like I’m going to drop straight down to the stream. My friends are laughing and encouraging me to look down from the bridge and enjoy the stunning view. I move one step to the left, put my hand on the wire fence, and have a glance of the view; my friends are right, the view is stunning, though it’s also breathtaking. After walking across the bridge, I walk into the forest. I can hear the twitter of the birds and the ripples of the stream. The walk in the park refresh my mind and body, it can always make me feel pleased. No transportation and Internet, only nature.

I love Vancouver. As a city, it’s very convenient and modern. But it also keeps the beauty of nature. It always makes me feel relaxed and comfortable.
