"The older I get, the better I was in high school"

The lights from yesterday had faded long before your fingertips brushed mine

The stars spelt out our destinies like a neon sign

The moonlight etched our silhouettes onto the frigid balcony

Felt like all that was left, what could become of me

A shadow figure with his back against the wall

My mother's told me the pride comes before the fall

I take this leap of faith in myself

Plummeting toward a distant hell

I drag you over this edge

Over this edge

It's where we're going down

It's where we're going down

Step on the thin air, the odds against us flying

Destroy ourselves, dismantle, rebuild like we're dying

I destroy myself

Don't follow, I did this to myself

Wait while I drag you over the edge

Over this edge

My love, we're going down

My love, we're going down
