Thousands of deaths occur per year due to the use of alcohol and tobacco. For example, Lung Cancer and emphysema. Smoking causes an acid taste in the mouth and contributes to the development of ulcers ( Holes in stomach). Alcohol has proven to induce violence in a person, while not being in control with brain or body. Cigarettes are made out of man made minerals, that can cause sickness on individuals who smoke it.  I believe that the following brain changing substances, Alcohol and Tobacco, should not be legal due to the dangers that can take effect on a human brain, as marijuana can be much safer, without making human bodies ill, Government officials should a agree to take legislative commitment to legalizing the herb and making alcohol and tobacco illegal.

Did you know?
Drunk driving costs the United States $199 billion a year!

Excessive alcohol use is accounted for approximately 88,000 deaths per year.

Every two minutes, a person is injured in a drunk driving crash

In the united states tobacco use is responsible for nearly 1 in 5 deaths; this equals about 480,000 early deaths each year.

Guess how many deaths per year because of the use of marijuana? 0

Also,  Using figures from a variety of federal and state government sources, majority of officials estimate that replacing prohibition with regulation on marijuana would save $7.7 billion annually in government spending on enforcement.
“And that, of course, is the real danger of American-style legalization. It would be one thing if recent legalization laws simply removed criminal penalties for adult possession – a revision of that nature is overdue – but the current legalization wave is driven by far more than social justice: it is about making a profit.”

The effects of Alcohol, Tobacco, and marijuana have a very vast difference, tobacco and alcohol cause very serious long term and short effects, such as diseases like cancer and strokes and organ conditions. There has not been one proven death nor disease that occurred even under the influence or with the use of marijuana, there includes many positive and relieving  benefits under the influence. It classified to be a muscle relaxer and even used medically to help patients with anxiety to relax themselves with no long term effects. As alcohol and tobacco are not prescribed pain relievers as they are portrayed to be. “Drink the pain away” or “I'm stressed out, i need a cigarette.”

Many people refer to marijuana as being unsafe because the outcome of the smoke  you prone to cough, The cough is the body's reaction to the irritation of the numerous constituents of the smoke disposing it, therefore marijuana is safe. Also, Research shows regular american pot smokers have the average i.q of every average american even with using pot for a large amount of time, so marijuana is proven not to harm the brain or level of iq.
