Control/Safety
We go along, living our lives
Not knowing who we truly are.
The only thing that takes away the fear
Of looking out of place
Is the fear of never knowing if we'll have the chance
To make up for those
Lost moments.
We go along being told how to act.
Being told what to believe.
Having others think for us is how we
Feel safe.
"They must have it under control,"
we tell ourselves
But it's never true.
