There is so much more to life and it's a shame you do not realize it.

This year for my Summer Internship Project, I decided to visit my friends the Siren Sisters. They work out of the ocean and are very skilled at what they do. So, I traveled down to Florida with my cousin, Billy, he is the leader of a well known red neck biker gang, but we aren’t talking about Billy today, no matter how big a star of the family he is. I don’t care what Grandmaw Ruth says, I am just as much a success as Billy. I...I am just going to get on with the story, I can’t focus thinking about billy, I really just don’t like him, and I don’t want to talk about him. So, umm...I rode down to Florida and then I hopped on a charter boat to the Bermuda Triangle. (If you go down to the Bermuda Triangle there is a small cave east of the center of the triangle, that’s where they live.) Once I got down there they were really nice and even let me borrow one of their swimsuits. I thought it was really elegant, it had sparkly skulls and roses on it that shimmered under the light of the bright golden moon. Something that I forgot to mention earlier, is that the Siren Sister operate at night, they have really sensitive skin, and being out in the middle of the ocean during the day really doesn’t work for them, no matter how much sun screen they put on. After we ate dinner, we left the cold and damp cave and swam out to the center of the triangle and Sirenia gave out directions. “Tonight sisters we avenge our fellow siren sisters that were made jokes of, so many years ago. No survivors, we sing and we kill! I will take the tip of the triangle. Sirenly and Sara, you will take the east point of the triangle and Sirenisha will take the west point.” Sirenia yelled the directions to us and then handed out shells, in case any sailor got a little “too touchy” before we killed them to avenge our “fellow siren sisters”. I am not sure what she was talking about, when she said “fellow siren sisters”, but I knew that the only way Sirenia was going to write me a good recommendation paper for my internship, was if I fully participated and didn’t question her work. So, I joined there little chanting circle, yelled, “Avenge the fallen Siren Sisters”, and pledged my full allegiance to their little circle, it wasn’t a big deal. All I had to do was give them a strand of hair and cut my hand with there ceremonial dagger. Sirenly and I swam out to the west point of the circle and waited for any ships or planes to come by. Nothing really happened during the first few hours. We just floated around and traded sand dollars. However, super early in the morning we heard a man shouting orders at a bunch of other men who were using paddles to move a long boat. In my opinion, they all looked a little stupid because they were waring matching outfits, but I guess it’s just a Florida people thing. “Okay, Sister Sara. The time has come for you to prove yourself worthy. Follow my lead.” As soon as Sirenly finished telling me that, she swam underneath the rower’s boat and began to sing. Her voice was so lovely that I forgot I too, was supposed to be singing. I joined her and we sang a harmonious duet. By the time were done singing all the men that were in the boat had fallen into a deep sleep. “Wow! Sister Sara, whispered Sirenly, you have proven yourself to be worthy of the sister hood.” Hearing those words were music to my ears, I knew then and there, that I was definitely going to get a great recommendation paper that would look amazing on my college scholarship application. I hope you are reading this Billy, because you suck! Anyways, Sirenly and I took the boat and brought it into the middle of the triangle, where they always meet at sundown to gather their victims and decide what to do with them.( Which I totally didn’t understand. I thought we should have killed them because of the whole “no survivors” speech, but what do I know? I’m just the intern.) Surprisingly, Sirenly and I were the only one to have gotten anybody. Since, Sirenia was the group leader she got to decide where they were to be sent. “I decree that tonight captures shall be sent to Atlantis. They will be judged by the Siren Sisterhood Council, where their fates shall be decided.” Sirenia said some more stuff after that about how they would continue to avenge those before them and stuff, but I zoned out because I started to realize how cold it actually was. That’s when I suggested we go back to the cave and have some hot coco. My adventure with the Siren Sisters ended shortly after that because one of the rowers we had captured woke up from the sleeping spell and called the fuzz. The police raided the cave and arrested Sirenia, Sirenly, and even Sirenisha, who was the nicest. I denied everything and told the fuzz that they had captured me along with all the other rowers, I mean if I go to jail how am I ever going to be better than stupid Billy. The Siren Sisters were really not happy about me lying. They started talking about how I pledged my allegiance and how I was bonded to them forever with my hair and blood, but they were all talk and I had all I needed from Sirenia, who had already written my paper when we had drank hot coco earlier, so I was all done. I caught a ride with one of the cops back to the shore, where stupid Billy and his gang took me home. Anyways, that is all about my Summer Internship. I learned the values of trust and keeping my words during my time with the Siren Sisters and if given this scholarship, I promise to pledge my allegiance to your university for the rest of my life. You have my word and my trust.

I just wrote this piece for fun and to make people laugh. All the names in the story are FAKE. I did not actually write this as a paper to apply for a scholarship, nor did I actually work with the siren sisters. For those of you who do not know, sirens are mythical creatures that are said to have, long ago, lure sailors to there deaths using their singing. I hope this makes you laugh, because that is the whole reason I wrote this, there is no hidden message. - T.A. Hargisonly
