E- Cigarettes, are also known as electronic cigarettes. Many people are trying to quit smoking, either for their child, or because they know that it's so unhealthy so they have to quit. Many people my age don’t really discuss these type of cigarettes other than in health class maybe. However, I am unlike these people. I have a father, and as caring as he is to my whole family, he just couldn’t quit smoking no matter how hard he tried. Smoking is something so addictive, kind of like a habit, but it seems as if smoking is the worst habit there is. Therefore, my brother one day thought that it was enough, and he couldn’t take it anymore. He got an electronic cigarette for my dad to make him quit smoking. I believe it has been a month since my father has tried this e-cigarette. Since my dad is so important to me and my family, I decided to research this “fake” cigarette.
     

Using an e-cigarette is also known as “vaping.” Some e-cigarettes look like the real thing, and sometimes they look like a box you're carrying around. Although carrying around an actual cigarette box would be easier than carrying an electronic cigarette because it’s so huge, health is more important, therefore it's worth the carrying around. The end glows as the smoker inhales, when they exhale however, they puff out a cloud which looks like smoke. Using an e-cigarette is also known as “vaping” because the smoker is inhaling vapor. Inside the e-cigarette is a battery, a heating element, and a cartridge that holds nicotine, which is in regular cigarettes, and other liquids and flavorings.
     

The nicotine in both this e-cigarette and regular cigarette is very addictive. However, when you stop using nicotine, it makes the person feel irritable, depressed, restless, and anxious. This nicotine is kind of like caffeine. Once you have a cup of coffee at least once a week, you suddenly start drinking coffee every day in the morning, and when you skip drinking coffee, you're very tired. The reason tobacco is the biggest danger is the smoke, however, e-cigarettes don’t burn. Therefore, e-cigarettes may be safer than the regular cigarettes.
     

E-cigarettes are one of the big topics these days. It has been in debates among many health experts on the same idea every time. They always wonder if these e-cigarettes reduce the disease and death caused by the tobacco. However, they can never agree on whether e-cigarettes make the problem worse or better.
