My childhood involved meaningful life messages portrayed through talking cartoons, family memories of a theme park that will last me a lifetime, and a huge imagination doodling characters out of inspiration.

From the movies to the dressed up characters in real life, it was just about impossible to pick a favorite. “Let’s watch Toy Story—wait no! Monsters Inc.? Nevermind, maybe Lilo and Stitch. I can’t decide! Hold them behind your back and we’ll pick that way!” My sister and I eventually would watch them all. Disney movie marathons were our favorite.

When spring break came around every year, we couldn’t sleep. Disney World is nothing shy of magical. Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Test Track, Expedition Everest and so many more brought my family and I closer by each ride.

One time, we took a drawing class in Hollywood Studios. I felt like an animator myself of a Disney Pixar movie. It inspired me to explore the possibilities of such a career and is still something I would love to follow after today.
There was one man who started it all; he taught me to be imaginative, to cherish memories, and inspired me. I would love to meet Walt Disney.
