Favorite Quote:
Everything is a social construct.

I hope that when you fall asleep at night,
your heart fluttering, tumbling, ever so gently,
down the tunnel,
through the hole in the wall,
out into the enveloping tendrils
of the ocean waters,
you go to the places lost in your dreams,
that you were so eager to get back to,
just out of reach,
like hearing a whisper through
a thickened fog,
the faraway lands that dictate your daily
doodles,
sketches stretching out over the entire paper,
that you only want to live in forever,
and remember with something, somewhat
resembling a soft clarity,
sailing through entangled fjords,
dipping down into the lush bowls
of the valleys,
forever falling in love
with your fairytale place.

The author's comments:

I have always loved writing poetry. For me, it beautifies the simplest moments and turns the most everyday occasions into something magical. I wrote this poem because I've always wanted to be able to explore the different worlds inside of my dreams. I think that the idea of being able to go on adventures and live within them is thrilling and it opens up the possibility for something more than just typical dreaming. Almost like lucid dreaming, but far less limited and more freeing.
