“Orwell Was Onto Something”

I found Samuel O.’s article “Orwell was onto Something” extremely relatable with the story that he provided about Gary’s stories on moving around farm-to-farm for work. The jobs he did while moving around for work were all in very unpleasant conditions such as piling dead pigs. Although Gary did not enjoy doing these jobs that made him sick, he continued to take similar jobs that he was offered. In fact, it became somewhat  automatic for him to accept a job when someone asked, “ could you work for me ?” This somewhat of an instinct that is almost similar to the lacked thought in George Orwell's writings. Thank you, Samuel, for providing a meaningful comparison to how Orwell's writings are implied in the modern day.
