By Imsda, Eureka Springs, AR

I am the dictator of the world
Every day I control every single person
where they go,
what they do,
when they eat,
when they sleep,
This power, I did not choose it or create it.
It was man who turned me into the monster I am.
Hanging me on walls or high above in towers
So people can worship me gazing at my hands
as if they hold their entire being
I reside also on wristband
Traveling with man,
For he can not live without me.
Not one of my minutes goes by without someone gazing up at me
But, I feel trapped often like these hands are run by gears that i can not control,
I do not decide to scream at six seventeen,
