Kaiti W., Jackson, MS By indiegreeneyes, Jackson, MS

Your hair is dark as the clouds of night
As it thunders down your shoulders
The lightening of your smile flashes against all the rain
You were my perfect storm
You washed away my pain

In your arms, healing and sunshine washed over me
The tears were swept away, and for a moment:
I forgot about my stains
Wish I could have been your morning star,
But I was only broken pieces held together in your arms

Oh my beloved Samson, so faithful and strong
I’ll never cut your hair
But what we had was wrong
I’ll never be the love of your life
But I refuse to be your Delilah, your demise
Without you, the thorn in my side stings
I lashed out in anger
